The hull of MS Stavangerfjord has arrived in the shipyard in Rissa in Norway, while construction of its sister ship MS Bergensfjord is proceeding well in Gdansk in Poland. Follow the progress from steel to hull to cruise ferry!

MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord are being built by Bergen Group Fosen. Planning and construction of the two new ships is proceeding quickly, and on this page you can see exciting pictures and film clips of the process.

On 27 April 2012, Stavangerfjord reached its destination at the Bergen Group Fosen shipyard in Rissa. Now, between 800 and 900 workers from a variety of disciplines will complete interior fitting and finishing, transforming the hull into a full-fledged modern cruise ferry.

Bergensfjord is following right behind. Its keel laying was celebrated in a ceremony at the shipyard in Gdansk on 15 December 2011, and steelwork on the hull is now well underway.
