Your adventure begins in Hirtshals as the ship departs for Stavanger in the evening (please note: from 1 September, departure is at 19:15). On board, you can enjoy a relaxing evening and night on one of our large, comfortable cruise ferries before arriving the next morning at Risavika. Here, a waiting bus takes you straight to the Preikestolen trailhead, where the marked route guides you through beautiful mountain landscapes all the way to the iconic viewpoint and back again.

🏞️ A scenic hike to one of Norway’s most famous viewpoints
The trail has been significantly improved in recent years, making the hike both safer and more enjoyable. Along the way, you’ll find rest areas and good spots to pause and take in the scenery. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with one of Norway’s most spectacular views: Preikestolen rises 600 metres above the Lysefjord, offering a sight that few places in the world can match.

🚌 Discover Stavanger at your own pace
After the hike, the bus takes you back to Stavanger, where you’ll have time to explore the city on your own. Wander through the charming old town with its 173 white wooden houses, enjoy cosy cafés and restaurants along the cobblestone streets, or visit the modern and engaging Norwegian Petroleum Museum.

🛍️ Enjoy the return journey on board
On the way back, you can once again make the most of the ferry’s many facilities – from good food and drinks to live entertainment, tax-free shopping and peaceful moments on deck. And if you're lucky, the homeward journey ends with a spectacular sunset, adding the perfect finishing touch to a memorable nature experience.
