The trip begins at the Port of Hirtshals in Denmark. Departure time: 20:00. (Please note! Departures on April 16th, May 14th. and September 3rd at 19:15 from Hirtshals.) Sailing overnight, the ship arrives at the port of Risavika the following morning. From here you will be taken by coach to Preikestolen Parking. You then follow a signposted path to Preikestolen and back again. The trail up to Preikestolen has been improved in a number of ways in recent years. The walk to the viewpoint is now better than it’s ever been. And there are bathing spots and rest areas along the route. Once at Preikestolen, 600 metres above Lysefjord, the magnificent view over the fjord and the mountains is an experience rivalled by a very few places in the world.

Time for yourself to explore Stavanger. Here are some good advice: Walk through the beautiful area of Gamle Stavanger and explore the 173 wonderful wooden houses, the cosy and intimate streets in the city centre with lots of brilliant restaurants and cafés. And of course – the modern and ultra interesting Oil Museum!

Please note: This tour is not suitable for individuals with walking difficulties or limited mobility, as it involves walking both up and down to and from Preikestolen. Instead, we recommend our Lysefjorden cruise.

• 07.30: Departure by coach from Risavika Terminal (Stavanger)
• 08.45: Arrival at Parkering Preikestolen

Time to walk the trail up to and down to Preikestolen

• 14.00: Coach from Parkering Preikestolen to Stavanger
• 15.00: Arrival Stavanger. Disembarking at Domkirken (The cathedral)
• 18.30: Departure by coach from Domkirken (The cathedral) to Risavika Terminal.
• 18.50: Arrival at Risavika Terminal followed by check-in
• 20.30: Departure by boat from Risavika to Hirtshals
