Fjord Line may amend these terms and conditions for Fjord Club, including bonus rates, benefits, price levels and programme structure. Material changes that reduce existing benefits, increase the price or alter programme tiers will be notified to affected members by email before the change takes effect. Material changes include, among other things but not exhaustively, changes that result in a not insignificant reduction in key membership benefits or an increase in price. Paying Premium members who do not wish to accept a material change may cancel their Premium subscription with effect from the date of the change and will receive a pro-rata refund of the annual fee. Changes required by public legislation or regulation may take effect immediately. Fjord Club is Fjord Line AS’s loyalty programme for private individuals. Membership is personal and non-transferable. Fjord Club is available to private individuals over the age of 18 who are resident in countries where Fjord Line operates. A person may hold only one active Fjord Club membership.
Fjord Club is offered at three tiers: Fjord Club (free), Fjord Club Premium (paid) and Fjord Club Ambassador.
The free Fjord Club membership is cost-free and provides access to the Fjord Club benefits set out from time to time in the benefits overview at fjordline.com/en/fjord-club. The benefits overview provides an up-to-date description of the benefits in force, subject to the limitations and clarifications set out in these terms and conditions.
Fjord Line may adjust the content of the benefits for commercial reasons.
Fjord Club Premium membership provides access to all benefits at the free Fjord Club tier, as well as exclusive Premium benefits including, among other things, discounts and onboard benefits. The benefits and conditions in force from time to time are set out at fjordline.com/en/fjord-club.
Price: Membership of Fjord Club Premium is paid for a period of 12 months. The current price is set out at all times on fjordline.com/en/fjord-club.
The benefits associated with Premium membership may be adjusted for commercial reasons. Material reductions in benefits will be communicated to Premium members a minimum of 30 days in advance.
The Fjord Club Premium subscription runs for 12 months and renews automatically unless cancelled. Fjord Line will send a reminder of renewal and any price adjustment in reasonable time before the new subscription period begins. Cancellation is made via Fjord Line’s customer service.
Ambassador status is automatically awarded to Fjord Club Premium members who earn 1,000 bonus points or more within a 12-month period. Ambassador status is valid for 12 months and is renewed if the conditions are met again. Ambassador status lapses if the Premium subscription is terminated. Ambassador members retain all Premium benefits and may additionally have access to exclusive benefits.

A Fjord Club Premium subscription may be taken out at fjordline.com (My Account) or via Fjord Line’s customer service. When taking out a Premium subscription online, a 14-day right of withdrawal applies from the time the subscription is confirmed and you have received the information required under applicable withdrawal right legislation. The right of withdrawal may lapse if you have expressly requested that delivery of the service commences within the withdrawal period and the service has been fully delivered. If you exercise the right of withdrawal, you will receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of the subscription period.
The benefits associated with the Fjord Club programme are available at all times at fjordline.com/en/p/fjord-club. Benefits are conditional on journeys being booked directly with Fjord Line or at fjordline.com, unless otherwise stated in the benefit description. Benefits are personal and may not be transferred to others.
Fjord Line reserves the right to discontinue, replace or amend individual benefits. Such changes will be announced at fjordline.com/en/p/fjord-club. Material changes will be notified by email.
Fjord Club Premium members receive one (1) discount voucher per crossing. The voucher is issued only upon physical check-in at Fjord Line's terminals, upon presentation of a valid Premium membership.
Validity and place of use
The voucher entitles the holder to a 100 DKK discount on one (1) purchase and is valid at the following locations on board: On board MS Bergensfjord and MS Stavangerfjord: Seaview Bar & Nightclub, Pier 42 Sportsbar and 24 to Go. On board Fjord FSTR: Café on board. The voucher is valid only for the crossing indicated by the validity dates on the voucher.
Payment conditions
Remaining amounts under 100 DKK will not be refunded. Amounts exceeding 100 DKK must be paid with another form of payment. The voucher cannot be exchanged for cash.
Restrictions
The voucher is not valid for purchases of snus/chewing tobacco, cigarettes or medicines. The voucher cannot be combined with other discount coupons or vouchers and cannot be transferred to others. The voucher will not be issued for journeys received as a gift or gift card where only the environmental surcharge has been paid. The voucher is invalid without the crew member's signature and completed validity dates.
Presentation
The voucher must be presented to a Fjord Line crew member before payment. Age restrictions and licensing regulations apply when purchasing alcohol.
Fjord Club membership may be cancelled at any time via My Account at fjordline.com or by contacting Fjord Line’s customer service. Upon cancellation of a free membership, the account is deleted and accrued bonus points lapse without compensation.
Upon cancellation of a Fjord Club Premium subscription after the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period, the annual fee paid will not be refunded, unless the cancellation is made as a result of Fjord Line implementing material changes to the terms and conditions, the Premium benefits or the price, cf. the introduction to these terms and conditions. In such cases, the Premium member is entitled to a pro-rata refund of the annual fee.
Fjord Line may cancel a membership with 30 days’ notice if there is a valid reason, including misuse of the programme, attempted fraud or material breach of these terms and conditions. In cases of what we consider to be unwanted conduct or misuse of Fjord Line’s services, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to choose to temporarily suspend or terminate all marketing communications. In cases of misuse or fraud, Fjord Line may terminate the membership without notice and withhold accrued bonus points.
Accrued bonus points will not be paid out in cash upon cancellation of membership.
Fjord Line may delete personal data and all associated information if the Fjord Club account has been inactive for more than 3 years, in accordance with Fjord Line’s privacy policy as in force from time to time.
Fjord Club members earn bonus points by travelling with Fjord Line on journeys that have been booked and paid for directly with Fjord Line or at fjordline.com. It is the member who books/purchases who earns all the points for the journey/purchase.
The applicable bonus rate is 5% of the base price of the journey and cabin, excluding taxes, charges and supplementary services. 1 bonus point may be used as a means of payment equivalent to NOK 1 per point when booking.
The bonus rate may be changed by Fjord Line with a minimum of 30 days’ written notice to all Fjord Club members by email.
Bonus points are credited to the account after a completed journey. Bonus points are not earned on journeys paid for wholly or partly with bonus points, on gift vouchers, or on journeys booked via third parties. Fjord Line may at any time offer promotional periods with double points or an increased bonus rate; such promotions will be announced at fjordline.com.
Bonus points may be used as full or partial payment when booking certain journeys with Fjord Line at fjordline.com. The up-to-date overview of approved products and services is set out at fjordline.com/en/p/fjord-club.
Bonus points expire 2 years from the date of earning. Members can view their point balance at any time under My Account. Expired points cannot be restored.
Fjord Line processes personal data about you in connection with your Fjord Club membership in order to manage the customer relationship, deliver agreed benefits and services, and for marketing purposes in accordance with your preferences. Processing is carried out in accordance with the personal data legislation in force from time to time (GDPR).

Fjord Line is not liable for losses resulting from bonus points being unavailable due to technical errors, system failures or other circumstances beyond Fjord Line’s control. Fjord Line is also not liable for indirect losses, including lost opportunities to use bonus points. Fjord Line’s total liability is in any event limited to the value of the relevant bonus points. These limitations do not apply to the extent that the loss is due to gross negligence or wilful misconduct on the part of Fjord Line, and do not affect the non-derogable rights that consumers have under Norwegian law.
If you are dissatisfied with Fjord Line’s handling of your matter and we are unable to reach an amicable resolution, you may refer your complaint to a dispute resolution body. Information on relevant dispute resolution bodies can be found at fjordline.com/en/p/hjelp-og-kontakt. Norwegian consumers may submit a complaint to the Norwegian Consumer Council (forbrukerradet.no). The European Commission’s platform for online dispute resolution is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
These terms and conditions are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes between Fjord Line and a Fjord Club member that are not resolved amicably may be brought before the Norwegian courts.
