Fjord Line sails daily between Hirtshals and Kristiansand year-round. You can choose between two travel options: the high-speed catamaran Fjord FSTR (2 hours and 25 minutes, March–October) or the cruise ferries MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord (approx. 3 hours 15 minutes, year-round). Up to four daily departures are available in peak season.

⚡ Fjord FSTR — the fastest route to Norway Fjord FSTR is the fastest connection between Denmark and Norway at 2 hours and 25 minutes. The catamaran features a tax-free shop, café, bar and a large play area for children. At the bow, a separate premium lounge offers panoramic sea views — available at an additional charge. Fjord FSTR operates from March to October.
🛳 Cruise ferry — comfort year-round MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord are large cruise ferries with an à la carte brasserie, buffet restaurant and a 500 m² tax-free shop. Cabins are available in all categories for those who want them — they are not mandatory on this crossing. The cruise ferries operate year-round.
Hirtshals — Hirtshals Havn Hirtshals is North Jutland's main ferry hub for connections to Norway. The terminal is well connected to the E45 motorway — approx. 50 km to Aalborg and onwards into Europe.
Kristiansand — The terminal in Kristiansand is located centrally at the harbour, within walking distance of the city centre. The terminal is easily reached by car via the E18/E39. Parking is available at the terminal.

MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord offer the complete cruise experience: cabins, à la carte dinner, breakfast buffet and 500 m² of tax-free shopping. Ideal for travellers who want to make the journey itself part of the experience.
MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord operate on dual-fuel engines and prioritise LNG propulsion, which eliminates sulphur oxide emissions and reduces CO₂ compared to conventional marine diesel. Fjord Line was the first company in the world to put a cruise ferry into service exclusively on LNG in 2013.
Fjord FSTR is designed for low energy consumption per passenger, producing lower CO₂ emissions per passenger than conventional ferries on the same route.
