Bring your dog on board the FSTR
A calm start to your holiday with your dog — here, you can read our advice and guidelines, so you're all set to bring your four-legged friend on board our ferries.
You're welcome to bring your dog on board when you travel with Fjord Line between Denmark and Norway. On this page, we have gathered the most important information you need when bringing your dog on a sea voyage.

Where your dog can stay while on board
Generally, you can choose between two primary locations for your dog on board: In your car or, accompanied by you on the aft deck or in the salon by the aft deck.
Staying in your car during the crossing
You are welcome to leave your dog in the car during the crossing. However, you must be aware that the car deck is locked for the entire journey, so you won't be able to go down to see your dog on your own. In certain cases, and only if the staff have time, a crew member may be able to walk you down to your car.
Please note: In the summer, we recommend that you DO NOT leave your dog in the car during the crossing, as it can get very hot on the car deck.

Staying on the aft deck
If you do not wish to keep your dog in the car during the crossing, you are welcome to take it to the aft deck and to the salon by the aft deck. Dogs cannot be brought into other areas of the ship.

Booking a trip with your dog
If you are travelling with the FSTR, you can book a place for your dog during step 7, «Passengers», in the booking process. You must book your dog as «Pet in car». The fee for bringing your dog in the car is NOK 50 each way.
