How we are organised
Fjord Line is a ferry company that employs approx. 700 full-time employees, of which around 70 percent work on board our ships. The rest are distributed among land employees at terminals and offices in Norway and Denmark.
Fjord Line has various departments on land. These departments include Customer Centre, Freight, Quay and Terminal, Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Retail, Revenue, HR, Finance, IT and a technical/nautical department.
Fjord Line has different departments on the ships/on board. These departments are divided into ship operations and commercial operations.
All permanent sea employees have a 14/14 rotation. This means that they live and work 14 days on board and then have 14 days off. In addition to the permanent employees on board, we also have Flexcrew replacements when we need extra staffing. In this case, you are on board for 1-14 days and work in various areas while on board.
