A snow paradise for everyone
The magnificent natural landscape around Myrkdalen - one of Norway's most snow-sure areas - is a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts, both among Norwegians and tourists from all over Europe. This is partly due to the fantastic skiing conditions, but also to the endless mountain scenery covered in sparkling powder snow, with it blue fjords, pristine forests, and wild, romantic valleys. It is a tourist attraction for visitors from near and far who come to experience a genuine Nordic winter paradise.

The enchanting snowy landscape can be explored on cross-country skis or by dog sled, but we also recommend spending a day in Flåm and taking a ride on the Flåm Railway, one of the world's most beautiful train routes. Especially in winter, it offers a spectacular nature experience, taking you through snow-covered mountains and past frozen waterfalls.

A comfortable crossing to Bergen - and just two hours' drive to your destination
If you're planning to travel to Myrkdalen for your winter holiday this year, you can look forward to spending a large part of your journey relaxing, enjoying exquisite food and drinks, and being entertained on one of our large, comfortable ferries. These ferries will take you safely and quickly from Hirtshals in the north of Denmark to Bergen, and if you depart from Bergen's port shortly after noon, it's only a two-hour drive to Myrkdalen, allowing you to complete the entire drive in daylight.
